...that doesn’t contain harmful substances?
Well. As many colors there are in the world of nail polishes - as colorful are many of the ingredient lists holding substances that a nail polish contains.
So. How do we orientate?
The concept of the „FREE’S“ (Nailpolish free from certain stuff) could be the orientation you’re looking for.
What does that mean?
Freeing nail polish from toxic stuff takes up its quality for you and its quality for the environment - to a whole new level.
But let us explain what the FREES actually mean: FREES refer to the most toxic ingredients that are not included within the nailpolish. Meaning the more ingredients a nailpolish is free of the better the product for the environment and for you.
For example:
The 3 FREE’S:
These are nail polishes produced without the most typical ingredients: Formaldehyd, Toluol and Phthalate.
The 5 FREE’S:
Here you won’t find any Formaldehyd, Toluol and Phthalate and Formaldehydharz and camphor listed on the ingredients list.
The FREE lists go on up to 23 FREE’S which is a lot.
Well. So far so good BUT a nail polish that declares to be FREE of a lot of things does not mean that the nail polish is completely free from toxic stuff. It much more really depends on what particular FREES are actually meant here.
If you for example compare a 5 FREE to a 10 FREE nailpolish you could assume that the 10 FREE nailpolish is holding less toxic ingredients than the 5 FREE nailpolish. This could be true but doesn’t have to be true. The reason for that is there is no consistent regimentation on how the FREES are defined.
For us as at SiiRO it is really important that we really care about what goes into a nail polish and that we create an honest cosmetical product. We only chose environment friendly and nurturing ingredients. To not confuse you tho a 10 FREE nailpolish most of the time still is better than a 5 FREE nailpolish.
Wenn wir uns danach richten dann…. SiiRO holds a 22 FREE ingredients list.
To keep it real: of course - a nail polish is still a nail polish and never a 100% natural product.
